What is your role at HOPE, in your own words?
I support the manager in daily operations of Hope Cafe including volunteer scheduling, daily service, inventory management, and providing a warm and welcoming environment.
What’s your favorite verse/passage of scripture and why?
Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
It gives me so much peace and comfort knowing I can go to God with anything!
What’s something that brings you joy?
Coffee in bed (brought to me by my husband, Paul) and snuggling with Oliver (my orange tabby cat).

What’s something people might not know about you?
I am a Registered Nurse. I retired after 40 years with 35 years at VCU Health.
