What is your role at HOPE, in your own words?
I support our Missional Pastor, Matt Hartman, as his Executive Assistant and have the privilege of handling the administrative side of Hope Residents!
What’s your favorite verse/passage of scripture and why?Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
I long for God to create a clean, right spirit within me and this verse reminds me that He is the one doing the work, not me. It’s a good prayer to pray every day.
Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
In all the hard places in my life, I have found God to be a steady, rock solid place of refuge. His strength has sustained me when I had nothing left to give. I am so grateful.
What’s something that brings you joy?
Being in a quiet place. Being outside. Little kid giggles. Having time with my family. A beautiful sunrise or sunset, especially if it’s at the ocean.
What’s your go-to comfort food or coffee order?
I love quality dark chocolate and Cape Cod potato chips.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Woodworking
What’s something people might not know about you?
I like to wake up slowly with the sun rather than having to set an alarm.
