Jack

Jack grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan; graduating from Calvin College in 1969 with a degree in Economics. After serving three years as an officer in the Navy he spent the next forty-five years in the home furnishings industry before retiring in 2018. He currently consults on retail management and business development projects.

Jack married Wilma in 1973. They have two children, Jessica and Mark, who are each married with five children. Jack and Wilma joined HOPE in 2016 after moving to Richmond from Connecticut. Both have volunteered at Hope Thrift, and Jack has volunteered with the Outreach Team. They also lead a small group in their home.

Jack has served previous churches as an Elder and a Deacon, and is enthusiastic about HOPE’s commitment to sharing the good news of the Gospel. He has become involved on a volunteer basis with a number of HOPE’s local community partners and is eager to see Christ’s kingdom continue to grow in Richmond.
