Isaac Nunn

Generations Worship Leader

What is your role at HOPE, in your own words?

I run the Students Worship Ministry that leads worship for our Students on Sunday Nights and I recruit for, plan, and run the Worship Internship over the Summers!

What’s your favorite verse/passage of scripture and why?

2 Timothy 1:9 “He has saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.” This verse feels like one of the greatest overviews of what it means to live a life in relationship with Jesus. Jesus saved us and called us to Himself. Not because we deserve it or earned it in any way, but because of His purpose, grace, and a desire for a relationship with us. What a beautiful way to sum up the Gospel!

What year did you start coming to HOPE? Working at HOPE?

I started attending here in 2021 and came on staff in 2022.

What’s something that brings you joy?

Doing anything with my hands (playing music or woodworking), going to see a movie by myself, or having a free day with my wife and dog.

What’s your go-to comfort food or coffee order?

I LOVE a Starbucks Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso.

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?

Playing piano! I took piano lessons for a year when I was a kid and I wish every day that I had kept up with it.
