Hope Kids Lead Pastor

What is your role at HOPE, in your own words?

I oversee and help lead the Hope Kids Ministry! I help to create a safe and welcoming environment for kids and families where they can grow together as a family and in relationship with the Lord both on Sunday mornings and at several other events throughout the year. I have a passion for teaching kids about Jesus and His deep love for them. I want them each to know that they are seen, known and loved by those around them and the Lord.

What’s your favorite verse/passage of scripture and why?

Psalm 91. This Psalm talks about God’s protection and refuge for those who trust in Him. This is a beautiful picture of His love for us and how He is our anchor and security through difficult seasons or situations.

What year did you start coming to HOPE? Working at HOPE?

My husband and I started attending HOPE in 2014 and I joined staff in 2015.

What’s something that brings you joy?

Blue Bell ice cream!

What’s your go-to comfort food or coffee order?

My comfort food is potato soup or spaghetti and my coffee order is a cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks.

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?

I would like to be a drummer. There’s also a part of me that wants to be an expert on outer space and work at NASA. It’s a toss up, really.

What’s something people might not know about you?

I was a dance major in college (Go Dukes!). After college, I lived in Dallas, Texas for a few years dancing on a professional christian dance company, and the style I would consider myself best at is tap!
