What is your role at HOPE, in your own words?
My position supports the Senior Pastor, Session and the EPC.
What’s your favorite verse/passage of scripture and why?
Currently it is Isaiah 40:31, “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” My hope is not dependent on, or relevant to, situation or circumstance. It is such a different level of being when my hope is in the Lord.
What year did you start coming to HOPE? Working at HOPE?
I began at HOPE in December 2002.
What’s something that brings you joy?
The warmth of cradling a cat and feeling it purring, while sinking my fingers into its fur.
What’s your go-to comfort food or coffee order?
Black beans and Spanish rice with cooked tomatoes (family recipe).
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Listening.
What’s something people might not know about you?
At times, I can get into doing a tedious task or creative project and be happy for hours.
